A check in check out is a simple way for teachers, case managers, principals, service providers, etc to track student behaviors, goals, and growth.

What is included?

This resource is set up so you can design your own CICO form. I walk you through how to make the table, add the directions, add a title, add student information, and add your school's watermark. There are written, picture, and video directions.

How do you use it?

I use a CICO with students who have behavior plans and are working toward a replacement behavior. For example, a student on my caseload is working on using kind words and being safe with his body. It is hard for me to track these behaviors because he is not a student in my classroom. So, each day he comes to my classroom and we discuss his daily goal (Safe Body, Kind Words) and decide on a reward. He is in middle school so he gives it to each teacher at the start of class and at the end of the period the teacher marks his chart and initials. At the end of the day the student brings me the chart and we reflect together.
