Description

This is a great noun, verb, adjective, or antonym review piece!

A diamante poem is a simple poem that uses a set of contrasting nouns (antonyms) and related verbs, adjectives, and nouns. Diamante poems are a great way to review or apply a students' knowledge of nouns, verbs, adjectives, and antonyms.

This packet includes 2 planning pages, a rough draft, a final draft, and an illustration page.

I used these as a follow up activity to a mini group lesson where we created a diamante poem together. My students had a great success rate, and it was a fantastic way for them to see the differences between verbs, nouns, and adjectives.

This product ties in with CCSS L.2.1.E and CCSS L.3.1.

Thank you for downloading and providing positive feedback!
