How Chris Noth’s marriage mirrored Mr Big & Carrie’s after splits with younger wife ‘every 2 weeks’ & becoming dad at 53

CHRIS Noth's own marriage mirrored that of his on screen character Mr Big and Carrie Bradshaw after splitting with his younger wife "every two weeks" when they first dated.

The Sex and the City actor was on Thursday accused of sexual miscount - including rape - by two different women; Noth has vehemently denied the claims.

In a interview with Macleans in 2008 Noth revealed how he and now wife Tara Wilson argued at the beginning of his relationship.

He said: "We’d break up so often and I’d be like, ‘That’s it! It’s over!’

"Then a few weeks later I’d be like, ‘Why am I missing her so much? Get over it goddammit!’ It got to be too much of a hassle to be apart."

AGE GAP

His wife Tara - nearly 30 years his junior - added: "At the beginning, I’d say we broke up every two weeks. Then it was every two months. Then it was every six months."

The couple went on to get married in 2012 and have two children, making Noth a first time dad in his 50s.

Noth's character Mr Big and on-screen wife Carrie Bradshaw - played by Sarah Jessica Parker - had a similarly tumultuous relationship until their on-screen marriage.

They too had an age gap love - something Carrie teases him about in the show.

Before meeting Wilson, Noth dated model Beverly Johnson who he split with after she wanted marriage and kids, Us Weekly reports.

He was also rumored to have dated Winona Ryder.

DENIES ALLEGATIONS

Police said on Thursday that Noth is “not under investigation at this point" for the sexual assault claims against him.

The allegations were first reported fust days after the premiere of the HBO Max reboot, in which Noth's character dies.

“There is no investigation at this point,” law enforcement told Deadline of the claim by a woman that the star raped her in 2004.

Following the claims coming to light, Peloton removed an ad that went viral earlier this week starring Chris, 67.

The commercial was a spoof of his death scene in the SATC reboot that had Ryan Reynolds doing the voiceover.

The women, identified only as Zoe, 40, and Lily, 31, approached The Hollywood Reporter with the claims, separately.

The alleged victims - who do not know each other - said the recent promotion of HBO Max’s Sex and the City sequel series And Just Like That stirred painful memories of the incidents, which they claim occurred in Los Angeles in 2004 and New York in 2015, respectively.

One accuser claims the Sex and the City actor "raped her in front of a mirror" and "laughed" when she asked about putting on a condom.

A second woman, identified only under the pseudonym Lily, claims Noth sexually assaulted her in his Manhattan apartment in 2015.

STARRING ROLE

Chris reprised his role of John James "Mr. Big" Preston, the love interest of Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker), in the latest Sex and the City sequel.

Noth responded to the claims in a statement to THR: “The accusations against me made by individuals I met years, even decades, ago are categorically false.

"These stories could’ve been from 30 years ago or 30 days ago — no always means no — that is a line I did not cross. The encounters were consensual.

"It’s difficult not to question the timing of these stories coming out. I don’t know for certain why they are surfacing now, but I do know this: I did not assault these women,” the actor added.

A source revealed to The Sun that Chris was "completely baffled and blindsided" by the allegation depicted in the report.

“Chris only knew the story was coming out a few days ago. He is completely baffled and blindsided. He’s absolutely appalled by these allegations, and very confused as to why they are surfacing now, so close to the reboot.

"There have been numerous opportunities when the movies came out, so he cannot get his head around the situation," the source added.

ACCUSERS SPEAK OUT

Lily, now a journalist, reached out to THR in August, saying: “I’m not sure how you go about this sort of story and how you find the other victims."

Zoe, who still works in the entertainment industry, contacted the outlet in October and said that "seeing that he [Noth] was reprising his role in Sex and the City set off something in me."

She added that for years she "buried" the experience but decided it was time “to try to go public with who he is.”
