Iconic red Ferrari driven by Tom Selleck on hit 1980s detective show Magnum, P.I sells for £150,000
Sports car best driven with sports aviator sunglasses, unbuttoned Hawaiian shirt and moustache
THIS red Ferrari driven by Tom Selleck on the set of hit TV show Magnum, P.I has sold at auction for £150,000.
The 232-horsepower, five-speed, V8-powered vehicle, which features a tan leather interior, has less than 36,000 miles on the clock.
According to auction house Bonhams, it is "certified to have been driven by Tom Selleck on the set" of the television programme during season four.
After appearing on Magnum P.I., the car was repossessed by Ferrari North America, who then serviced and painted it, before selling it to its first owner.
It was sold again in 1989 and is said to be in pristine condition.
Selleck, 71, famously played the Hawaii-based moustachioed detective on the show from 1980 to 1988.
Season four first aired in the US between 1983 and 1984.
