The chase is hotting up for Eddie Nketiah.
Nketiah looks set to depart Arsenal on a season-long loan, with the Championship looking like the promising striker's most likely destination.
Bristol City have long been linked with a move for the 20-year-old, but Nketiah's pre-season form has caught the eye of other clubs, too.

Ron Walker: Getting Nketiah on loan is good enough but beating Leeds to get him would make the season.
Terrelle Graham: Nketiah to Bristol City will be an exciting loan deal if it happens. I think he'd do very well there.

The Scratching Shed: What's most frustrating about Nketiah's name suddenly popping up is that we've sold our top goalscorer while pretending to have a concrete plan (Kent), yet now we're scrambling for a player who's bound to be attracting other clubs. It's typical last-second stupidity.
Ryan: Nketiah is quality, if we signed him to replace Roofe I'd be much more confident going into the season, I don't want loans but this season is pretty much last chance saloon with Bielsa, Phillips, etc. so might as well just get a capable squad for this season then worry about next.
RC: Three years ago Tammy Abraham was a risk for Bristol City and he couldn’t stop scoring. Everyone’s a risk really. I like what I’ve seen with Nketiah me. If it is limited but I’m not sold on Kent either. Doesn’t seem to be massive options out there it’s late in the window isn’t it.
Chaz Cole: Nketiah is absolute class apparently. Would make it in the starting line up for Arsenal if it wasn’t for Lacazette and Aubamayang.
Armo: Nketiah would be a great acquisition, Bielsa would improve him ten fold.
Adam Ross: If we got Nketiah on loan, I tell you something; he is an upgrade on Roofe, but I feel for Bamford he's worked his socks off and I do think he will get 20+ goals for us. Nketiah on loan, I would still like Colidio to come in if we don’t get Kent.
Brandon Yates: Trying to do a deal for Kent permanently, but Nketiah to fall back on, on loan if it doesnt happen. I'd say that's smart from the club. Should guarantee the appropriate cover, no matter what happens.
Adam: If we get Nketiah it would be one of the best loans that we have ever had. The kid is unreal. Couldn't care if it's a loan deal, as long as he helps to get us out of this league.

Arsenal
M: Does Nketiah even need to go on loan? We don't have anyone after Auba/Laca. He can play a lot of minutes.
Alex: I think Nketiah has a lot more potential than he’s being allowed to showcase tbh. Would do well as an impact sub off the bench at the very least.
Keenos: Eddie Nketiah needs game time, he has never actually started a league game for Arsenal. With the likes of Tyreece John-Jules, Folarin Balogun and Gabriel Martinelli coming up from behind, a loan deal will make or break him.
Adam Booth: Why are we letting Nketiah go on loan? Doesn’t make sense to me. One of Laca or Auba get injured we are struggling and as it stands he’d play plenty in Europa & League Cup at the very least.
Mi Rage: Nketiah loan move suggests that only one of Auba or Laca will start. This is deeply concerning. Nketiah has demonstrated he is ready to play with the first-team as and when Laca or Auba need a rest. No one else on our books is a natural striker.
Karaan Ravaliya: Not sure why we're letting Nketiah go, he's Welbeck's replacement in the squad. Plenty of group Europa League and Carabao Cup games (if we get through) to get some minutes in before December too. Means Laca and Auba will be burned out this season.
Richie Seven: Look at what Bristol City done to Tammy Abraham, Nketiah will do well.
