Wolfsburg interested in Manchester United full-back Luke Shaw despite his desire to stay at Old Trafford

Wolfsburg are interested in Manchester United left-back Luke Shaw.

The 23-year-old is in the final year of his contract and the Bundesliga side are keen to take him but Shaw has no desire to leave in this window.

Shaw has talked about earning a new deal at Old Trafford but will be a free agent in a year's time and free to talk to foreign clubs from January.

His initial focus though is on convincing Jose Mourinho to select him for United's opening Premier League fixture against Leicester City.

Victor Lindelof and Phil Jones are joining up with training this week but Mourinho is short of full-back options as he is without the injured Antonio Valencia and Diogo Dalot while Napoli are trying to sign wantaway Italian Matteo Darmian.

United goalkeeper Joel Pereira is wanted on loan by Portuguese side Vitoria Setubal.
