Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a method for alarm signaling, in which after a first response of a detector connected to a signal center, the latter is reset for the first time by the signal center, and furthermore, at a predetermined time after the detector responds in the signal center, two test times with predetermined different Running times are started and an alarm signal is only forwarded after the detector has responded again at least once and in which an alarm signal is finally forwarded if the detector responds with a shorter duration after the test time has elapsed and with a longer duration before the test time has elapsed, and a device to apply this procedure.
Such methods and devices are suitable for signaling various types of dangerous states by means of suitable detectors which respond to the relevant state. An important application is, for example, the signaling of a fire outbreak by means of a fire phenomenon, e.g. Smoke, fire aerosol, fire gases, flame radiation, temperature variations, etc. of appealing fire detectors or the signaling of the presence of flammable and / or toxic gases.
On the one hand, fire alarm systems should signal a fire at the earliest possible stage and trigger appropriate measures to combat it. To do this, it is necessary to use highly sensitive automatic fire detectors, which already react to the phenomena that occur in the early stages of a fire, such as ionization smoke detectors or optical smoke detectors. If such fire detectors, however, with the highest possible sensitivity, there is a risk that an alarm signal will be triggered by disturbance variables, even though there is no dangerous state, i.e. no fire, and that such a false or false alarm will unnecessarily trigger expensive fire-fighting measures, e.g. the fire brigade or a fire extinguishing system is put into operation.
With procedures and equipment of the type mentioned at the beginning, such as are known from DE-PS 2 051 649, the automatic resetting of a fire detector after the response and the observation of the response can already avoid certain false alarms caused by short-term faults, such as cigarette smoke clouds or transient electrical faults, and distinguish them from long-lasting real fire conditions. In order to reliably eliminate and differentiate such faults, however, the reset and reclosure cycles must be repeated several times. However, there is a risk that a real fire will sometimes not be recognized or signaled too late, which is extremely undesirable in practice. The proposal to remedy this by a statistical evaluation of the response signals cannot satisfy because statistical methods could not meet the security requirements required by fire alarm systems. A further disadvantage of these systems is that fire detectors of different types, e.g. those with fast and slow response behavior, or with and without an integration circuit, could be connected together to the same evaluation circuit.
Fire detection methods, such as those in CH 623 154 or the Cerberus brochure FP 198: M. Ruggli / F. Datwyler's "Cerberus alarm concept" are described by involving people in the decision-making process. One after restarting one or more times The alarm signal triggered by a fire detector is then only forwarded if no control personnel are available, or if the signal is not acknowledged within a certain control period, and if, within a longer period of exploration, there is no message about the actual danger from a broadcasting reconnaissance team.
The disadvantage here, however, is that the process depends on human inadequacies, i.e. Due to negligence and inattentiveness of the control personnel or from a wrong assessment of the dangerous situation, an alarm signal may not be triggered or may be given too late, in part. with disastrous consequences.
In order to distinguish a permanent false alarm as a result of a defective detector from a true false alarm, a device was proposed in DE-OS 2 816 192 for a fire alarm system which interrupts the detector voltage at least once for an adjustable time after the first alarm signal and alarm signals which are immediately present when the detector operating voltage is switched on again displays as a fault and forwards alarm signals that arrive with a certain delay as real alarms. The fire alarm control panel described here is therefore designed not to pass on a permanent response to a detector as a result of a defect as an alarm, and only secondarily to suppress false alarms as a result of brief edge effects, with signals from all detectors, in particular those with and without a time-delayed response, being the same are processed.
The object of the invention is to eliminate the mentioned disadvantages of the prior art, and in particular the method and the establishment of the type mentioned above to further develop that the security of the alarm signaling is improved, false or false alarms being largely avoided.
It is also an object of the invention to provide a further improved method for suppressing false alarms, the signal processing in the control center taking into account and compensating for the different response behavior of detectors with and without a time delay, so that the device can also be used in existing systems with mixed loading from different detectors can be used without further ado.
Another object of the invention is to design the alarm signaling method in such a way that when the system is manned by control personnel, human error is eliminated as far as possible.
According to the invention, this object is achieved in a method for alarm signaling of the type defined at the outset in that the signal center resets the detector a second time if it responds a second time with the shorter duration before the test time has expired and in that case an alarm signal is triggered, if the detector responds a third time after a delay time that is shorter than the difference between the two test times before the test time has elapsed and that the signaling center returns to the initial state if there is no response of the detector before the test period with longer duration has elapsed.

In the diagram shown in FIG. 1 of a device for alarm signaling designed as a fire alarm system, several alarm or fire detectors D are connected to a signal center S with a common line system L. The fire detectors can be of the same type, e.g. ionization fire detectors or optical smoke detectors, or detectors that react to other fire phenomena. The fire detectors are expediently equipped with a self-holding circuit so that the fire detectors respond when a threshold value is exceeded, e.g. the smoke concentration, remain in the alarmed state until a possible reset. However, fire detectors of different types, e.g. Detectors with different response delays are connected to the signal center at the same time, since their different properties are taken into account by the special design of the signal center, so that a special adaptation is unnecessary.
- 1. The response occurs after the longer test time t 2 , ie later than 90 sec after the first response. This is interpreted to mean that it is not a permanent fire phenomenon, but a short-term or irregular fault, for example electrical interference pulses or cigarette smoke clouds. As a result, the alarm triggering is blocked and no alarm signal is given.
- 2. The response occurs before the longer test time t 2 has elapsed, but after the shorter test time t l has elapsed, ie between 20 and 90 seconds after the reset. This is understood to mean that there is a longer-lasting fire phenomenon, i.e. a persistent smoke concentration, and that the signal comes from a fire detector with a longer response time, e.g. from an ionization fire detector with an integrated circuit, which only responds when the threshold value is exceeded for a long time, and which therefore has increased false alarm security anyway. For this reason, the alarm signal generator AS is activated immediately.
- 3. The response is made before the shorter test time t l has elapsed, ie 20 seconds after the reset. This is only possible with detectors that respond quickly. Here there can be doubts as to whether it is an ongoing dangerous state or just a longer fault. Therefore, in this case, after a certain delay time t, the reset circuit R becomes a new reset position of the fire detectors and it is checked whether a response (3.AL) takes place again within the still running test time t 2 . If this is the case, the alarm circuit AS is activated immediately, if not the alarm signaling is blocked and the device returns to the initial state. To achieve the described effect, t 3 must be smaller than (t 2 - t l ). eg from 0 to preferably 30 sec.
With the described method of measuring the response times after the reset and the classification of the response time in three time groups, a practical exemplary embodiment of a device with commercially available ionization fire detectors as alarm detectors compared to known evaluation methods with reset and response repetition and two-stage classification (YES / NO) achieve a surprising reduction in the frequency of false alarms in practical operation, up to a factor of 5. In addition, the device according to the invention adjusts itself automatically to the response properties of the connected fire detectors, so that no adaptation measures are necessary.
Modifications and further developments are possible within the framework of the inventive concept. So it can be advantageous to add a repetition step upstream of the method steps according to the invention, so that the start of the test times is only released when a fire detector has responded a second time after a first response and the subsequent resetting. Several such repetitions can also be useful.
The method according to the invention has been described above using a fully automatic device.
However, it can also be expedient and advantageous to apply the idea of the invention in a device for alarm signaling, for example a tape alarm system, which is monitored at least partially, for example in the day circuit, by control personnel. Figure 3 shows a timing diagram of such a device. After a first response (l.AL) of a fire detector, the corresponding detector group is reset and the time A t until the next response (2.AL) is determined. If this time Δt is greater than a certain limit time t ', the second response (2.AL) is assessed as a new event and the entire cycle is started again. Otherwise, ie if the response time At is shorter, a control time V 1 , which can be, for example, 2 minutes, and an exploration time V 2 of, for example, 10 minutes are started at the second response. The control time V 1 can be interrupted by an acknowledgment signal Q, which signals the attention of the control personnel, and the exploration time V 2 can be interrupted by a reset signal E or a manual alarm signal triggered by a sent out exploration force. If these manual interruptions fail to occur, the detector group is automatically reset again at a time A t before the control time V 1 or the exploration time V 2 has expired and the test times t 1 and t 2 begin at these times t and t oo to run. In the event of a repeated, ie the third response within the test time t 2 , an alarm signal AS is then triggered immediately, t 1 can be set to 0.
In this way it is ensured that, even in the event of human error, a reliable alarm signal triggering with the lowest possible false alarm frequency is ensured.
