Description

Device and method for discharging electrostatic charges
Technical Field of the Invention
The present invention concerns a device and a method for preventing electrostatic discharges, due to the passage of charges that are accumulated for effect of actions of different kind on bodies of various natures. State of the art
In all the bodies, even if they are insulated, electrical charges can be accumulated, when these bodies are insulated from the earth, the reasons can be various, as for example for effect of frictions, insufficient humidity of the air, effect of electric fields or other reasons. The usual way, to avoid the accumulation of electrostatic charges to connect to earth the body on which these charges are accumulated. Such an example of realization is described in the patent applicatio WO - A - 01/87103.
It is obvious that the connection of the body directly to earth, if from one side resolves the problem to discharge, immediately, the electrostatic charges to earth, from the other side rises big problems of safety when, for example, in the vicinities there are electrical cables with medium and high tension. In fact, if the body should get in contact with the electrical cable with medium or high tension, the connection to earth would discharge directly the current from the cable, through the body, to earth. In an eventuality of this type if the body would be that one of a person, the consequences can also lead to death. In order to obviate to this serious disadvantage, in the case of an automobile or a body in a generalized way, in patent US - 5179497 - B, a device, for removing electrostatic charges from a conductive or semi-conductive body, is described comprising two electrical conductive ends, connected respectively to a storage condenser and to an air condenser and means in order to apply a voltage to the air condenser to realize a sufficient tension in order to make the ionization of the air, but inferior to the tension of discharge of the air in order to hold open the circuit.
The device, described in patent US - 5179497 - B, is of difficult realization, is cumbersome and shows dangers because, if, for the increase of the humidity in the air, the tension of discharge in the air diminishes, the device produces an immediate discharge of the condenser that can, in some cases, produce damages of large entity. Advantages of the invention
Main purpose of the present invention is to overcome the present difficulties in the prior the art.
The difficulties, present in the state of the art, are overcome through the realization of a device, discharging electrostatic charges from an electrically insulated body, comprising a battery or condenser and at least two electrical conductors characterized by the fact that the electrical conductors are fixed to an insulating support, that at an end the not insulated parts of electrical conductors are put, separately, into contact with the poles of a battery or condenser, and that at the other end the not insulated parts of electrical conductors are put, separately, into contact with the body to discharge. Another characteristic is given by the fact that the electrical conductors are printed on the insulating support. Another characteristic is given by the fact that the insulating support on which the conductors are printed, to an end, presents two cuts which allow to put into contact the two ends of the electrical conductors on the positive pole of the battery or condenser and the free central end of the conductor on the negative pole of the same battery or condenser.
Another characteristic is given by the fact that the free central end of the insulating support on which the conductor is printed is folded in the shape of "U" so that the part of folded conductor in the shape of "U" is into contact with the battery or condenser.
Another characteristic is given by the fact that to an end, the insulating support on which the conductors are printed, has a first end with enlarged shape regarding to the central part to which it is attached.
Another characteristic is given by the fact that the first end with enlarged shape has a square shape, but can be rectangular, polygonal or round. Another characteristic is given by the fact that the first end, with enlarged shape, has the same dimensions of the internal surface of an inferior box in which it is inserted, provided of an opening of dimensions equal to the dimension of the central part of the insulating support, in this way, the first end with enlarged shape remains embedded in the inferior box. Another characteristic is given by the fact that in the box one battery or condenser is inserted. The free central end of the insulating support on which the conductor is printed is folded in the shape of "U" so that the part of folded conductor in the shape of "U" can be put into contact with the battery or condenser. The inferior box is closed with a superior cover. The first end with enlarged shape and the battery or condenser remain blocked in the box with the cover.
Another characteristic is given by the fact that the other end of the insulating support on which the conductors are printed has a second end with enlarged shape.
Another main purpose is to realize a method, to discharge electrostatic charges from an electrically insulated body, comprising a battery or condenser and at least two electrical conductors characterized by the fact that the electrical conductors are fixed to an insulating support, that at an end the not insulated parts of electrical conductors are put separately into contact with the poles of a battery or condenser and that at the other end the not insulated parts of electrical conductors are put separately into contact with the body to discharge. A further main scope is that one to use the method and the device, in order to discharge electrostatic charges from an electrically insulated body using them in a insole in which an inferior lodging is realized where the box with a cover is inserted. The insulating support on which the conductors are printed are folded in the shape of "U" and made pass within a hole realized in the insole. Other characteristics and advantages of the invention will appear clear from the description included here of some of the ways in which to create the invention given as non-limiting examples in the figures 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6. Brief description of the figures
Figure 1 represents a view of the device with one battery or condenser inserted between the conductors, object of the present invention. Figure 2 represents a view of the device without battery or condenser inserted between the conductors, object of the present invention. Figure 3 represents a view of the device with a battery or condenser inserted between the conductors and one scato it that it contains it, object of the present invention.
Figure 4 represents a bottom view of the device used in a insole, object of the present invention.

Detailed description of an embodiment of the invention With reference to figure 1 , three electrical conductors (1 , 2, 3) are fixed on an insulating support (4) at few millimeters one from the other. To an end of the insulating support (4) the electrical conductors are in contact with one battery or condenser (7); two of these conductors, those exteriors (1 ,2) are in contact with the positive pole (5) and the third one, the central one, is in contact with the negative pole (6) of the battery or condenser (7).
The electrical conductors (1 , 2, 3) are printed on the insulating support (4). The insulating support (4), on which the conductors are printed (1 , 2, 3), at an end has two cuts (8, 9) which allow to put in contact the two ends (10, 11) of the electrical conductors (1 , 2) on the positive pole (5) of the battery or condenser (7) and the free central end (12) of the conductor (3) on the negative pole (6) of the same battery or condenser (7). The free central end (12) of the insulating support (4) on which the conductor is printed (3) is folded in the shape of "U" (13) so that the part of folded conductor to "U" (13) is to contact with the battery or condenser (7). Conductors (1 , 2, 3) are put in contact with the body from which we want to discharge the accumulated electrostatic charges, which, in contact with conductors (1 , 2, 3), on which a difference of potential is applied, will be discharged on the battery or condenser (7).
At an end, the insulating support (4), on which the conductors (1, 2, 3) are printed, shows a first end with enlarged shape (20) regarding to the central part to which it is attached. In the realization shown in figure 2, the first end with enlarged shape (20) has a square shape, but it can be rectangular, poligonale or round.
The first end with enlarged shape (20) has the same dimensions of the internal surface of the inferior box (21) in which is inserted, provided of an opening (22) of the same dimensions of the dimension of the central part (15) of the insulating support (4), in this way the first end with enlarged shape (20) remains embedded in the inferior box (21). The free central end (12) of the insulating support (4) on which the conductor is printed (3) is raised and, in the box (22), on the two external conductors (1,2) a battery or condenser (7) is put. In the box, a battery or condenser (7) is inserted. The free central end (12) of the insulating support (4) on which the conductor is printed (3) is folded in the shape of "U" (13) so that the part of folded conductor in the shape of "U" (13) can be put in contact with the battery or condenser (7). The inferior box (21) is closed with an upper cover (23). The first end with enlarged shape (20) and the battery or condenser (7) remain blocked in the box (21) with the cover (23), as it can be seen in figure 4. In order to guarantee a greater closing capacity of the box it this is thermo-soldered.
The other end of the insulating support (4) on which the conductors (1 , 2, 3) are printed has a second end with enlarged shape (28).
A utilization of the present invention is the one shown in figure 4, 5 and 6. On a insole (25) an inferior lodging is realized (26) in which the box (21) with cover (23) is inserted. The insulating support (4), on which the conductors (1, 2, 3) are printed, is folded in the shape of "U" and made pass within a hole (27) realized in the insole (25).
The discovery, it should be intended, is not limited to the representations given by the designs, but may be perfected and modified by skilled persons without leaving the area of the patent.
The present invention permits numerous advantages and to overcome difficulties that could not have been overcome with the systems at present on sale.
