I was so excited to try this life straw bottle. I really liked the aspect of my water getting filter twice before I drink it. The instructions are very clear on how to get it set up for the first time. I took it all apart and washed the bottle and lid, and rinsed the filters according to instructions. Filled the bottle to the fill line, let it sit for required amount of time. Then I tried my normal water and then the filtered water. I was disappointed the the filters did not take away the odor or all of the taste from the water. I have tried multiple times and no better results. However it still does remove bad stuff from water and if I'm ever out and need to drink stream water or other water, this will help me from getting bacteria into my system. The bottle is spill proof and leak proof and did meet those expectations.

This bottle comes with pros and cons but in the bottle works and the water doesn’t taste strange.
Pros:
Sturdy and durable
Not difficult to clean
Filters the water your drinking

Cons:
You if you fill over the line you can’t drink out of the bottle
It doesn’t come with an extra filter
Not sure how to tell when to change filter

Brought the bottle as wanted to utilise for my trek in Peru but need to keep an eye on my backpack weight but sadly its just too heavy even without water but will use at home

This is the fist time I had to follow instructions for a water bottle. It was easy to assemble and easy to set up. You are to let the water go for 10 minutes before you drink it. I always thought having a lifestraw would be great for hiking and/or camping but I tested it w my house water. Everything worked great. Four stars only because I couldn't test it with different water.
