Nigel Hall is a historian living and working in the north of England in the United Kingdom. His research interests include the history of the Liverpool cotton trade and market. He has also worked on the history of the London book trades in the eighteenth century.
He has held academic posts at the University of Oxford, the University of Essex (Colchester) and with the Cambridge Project for the Book Trust.
Nigel has published a number of articles in research journals concerning the history of Liverpool and the cotton trade. In addition, he has appeared on both BBC television and radio.
