About This Item

Zurich: Verlag Scheidegger & Spiess AG, 2009. Hardcover. G+ (Ex-art library, with spine label, i.d. marks on book block edges and outermost pages; light wear to binding edges; otherwise clean.). Cream and color illus. boards, unpaginated, [6 text leaves], 100 color illus. Essay is in English, French, and German. Issued in conjunction with a 2009 exhibition. Photographers Caroline Bachmann and Stefan Banz visited the Lavaux region of Switzerland, mirroring the 1940s visit of French painter Marcel Duchamp, and photographed the parts of the landscape that Duchamp didn't paint. Consists of 100 photographs that were taken over the course of time, but that resemble one complete day. An unusual approach. With an introduction by Luc Debraine.
