Trained at the Massana School in Barcelona in 1993, he later graduated from the University of Chile. The recreation of nature and the intervention of chance make Fernando Prats' work delve into concepts such as object-time. To do this, the artist uses different materials that help to make the invisible visible, to leave a mark, to recreate nature in each of his works. Throughout his career as an artist, Prats has received numerous awards, such as the Pilar Juncosa i Sotheby's prize in 1994, the Presdente de la República Honorary Scholarship from the Government of Chile (1997-2000) and the Simon Guggenehim Memorial Foundation Scholarship in New York (2006-2007). Fernando Prats is currently based in Barcelona, where he has been working since 1990.
