My tab 2 10.1 fell from my bed onto the tile. The screen did not crack, but now the colors are almost all inverted or generally just messed up. I'm wondering if there is a wire or a connection possibly loose that I might be able to fix, or will I have to purchase a brand new part in order to resolve this issue? Any help will be greatly appreciated!

I had the same problem but mine was also had static. I took the back off and the bottom of the far right ribbon there is a white line that I guess tells where the ribbon should be and mine was a little off so I stright end it out and bam! It has been messed up for over a year and now it's fixed!

Similar problem. My daughter dropped her Tablet Note 10.1 and colours went as per image provided in the post. I looked into the far right ribbon (which actually controls the input to the screen. Mine was properly aligned at the connector (anyway, I reconnected it - just to be sure). However I noticed that the ribbon is folded and 2 sides of the fold need to touch (probably cross-over signal processing issues and Samsung found a dirty fix by taping those sides together). I secured the two folded sides with the masking tape and it worked wonders.

Look at the response from Kev people. Settings -> Accessibility -> uncheck "Negative Colors"
I gave my tablet to my 15 month old niece and saw the screen all messed up after a few mins. When I rebooted it would temporarily fix the problem, but as soon as an app was opened colors were inverted again. Changing this setting resolved my issue.

I HAD THE SAME ISSUE. BUT NO APP OR SETTINGS WILL HELP YOU. You dropped your phone, so the damage should be inside or outside of it (hardware). So no software thingy will help you. i prefer you guys to go to the customer service or to some people who knows about tablet. Maybe a technician or smartphone/tablet repair man. don't you try to open it by your own. It might get worst. but if you are lucky enough to have a friend who's expert in this stuff. Well tell them to bring anything he needs and try to fix it in your house. And ask him what to do if this happens again. So that you will have knowledge about it. Btw. Give them some food to eat after he fix it. Nothing is free now. Move your *** and ask some help from the expert not in this forum. yeah maybe they can give you a try of what to do but Does it actually really helps you? About 20% I guess. Some comments are here are just like opinions to me.

Had the same issue, with no real help or direction. So remove the back over, Start by removing the chrome cover it just snaps off. Under it remove 3 screws. Remove the PEN. Now from the hole were the pin slides in start to pop the back over by sliding plastic knife around in the gap, twisted as you go to pop up back just clips down. Now look at my pictures you will see the madness under. Both ends of the Ribbon cable have to be seated, look at the white line, one of the connections you can see because the cable is folded over it, hiding it. Good luck. This procedure my cause tooth decay!20160627_083913.jpg20160627_083125.jpg20160627_083249.jpg20160627_083303.jpg20160627_083325.jpg20160627_083414.jpg20160627_083529.jpg

I had this same problem and inverting the colours on settings did not work. I took it apart by watching a youtube video and i reseated the video cable at both connectors. I turned on the tablet before I closed it up to ensure it was working and realized I needed to keep my finger on the cable where it folded back in order for it to work properly. I just wedged piece of paper there and closed up the tablet. It works fine now. Hope you have the same luck.

Than you so much this has been really helpful, my warranty is off and so much cash was demanded for repairs thought of just throwing the tab out and getting a new one but this fixed my problem got me talking to the technician like a pro

Thank you. I had the same issue with sudden color inversion. I went to Assessability and turned off the color inversion. Changed immediately.

Mine did the same one morning when I took it out of my Laptop bag, I opened and found that the screen cable wiggled looseSamsung-GALAXY-Note-10.1-GT-N8013-Battery.png

I carefully pushed it back and secured it with some sticky tape. Works perfectly now...

If You don't feel comfortable opening the device then I strongly recommend You take it into a service shop and get it done by a pro... Hope this helps

I can't believe the answers I'm reading here. You cannot change the settings by dropping the tablet. You can knock the cable lose to the LCD or damaged the LCDs like the one pictured above. I am replacing mine for the second time after dropping it. There are videos on YouTube that show exactly how to disassemble and replace it. For my Galaxy 10.1 n8013 I found a new LCD for $15. I find it irritating that people that don't know the answer post the guesswork.

I had the same problem and I have fixed it.

The problem is/was that during the impact the connector for the lcd was almost unplugged. Somehow it still got some signals through but became scrambled or somthing and it made the screen look like it was history.
check this video out and repeat :) Now my samsung tab is like new :)
