The MCSW Needs Your Voice: How to Testify!

If you have an issue that affects girls, women, and families in Massachusetts, you can bring it to the attention of the MCSW through public testimony! You can submit your testimony either orally or through written submission. The information we receive then shapes our programs and policy work as well as informs annual recommendations submitted to the legislature. Your perspective helps the MCSW make decisions in the public interest. We are responsible for studying, reviewing, and reporting on the status of women in the Commonwealth, and are charged with advising executive and legislative bodies on legislation that would affect women. To that end, the Commission regularly conducts regional public hearings and solicits input (also known as testimony) from real people all across the state. This testimony on women’s issues and concerns is critical for furthering our mission. The Commission represents and recognizes all women, regardless of their age, race, color, creed, abilities, language, socio-economic status, immigration status, sexual orientation, or gender identity at birth.

How to Testify

We try to make it as easy as possible! Below, please find some resources in both English and Spanish on how to share your testimony, as well as a video with instructions. Contact mcswpress@mass.gov with any comments or questions. You can click on each graphic to enlarge it!
