Kunsthalle Wien Podcast: Camila Sposati in conversation by Kunsthalle Wien published on 2021-02-26T08:10:47Z In the current Kunsthalle Wien Podcast artist Camila Sposati talks about her project "Phonosophia" – now on view in the Kunsthalle Wien exhibition "Cybernetics of the Poor". Sposati creates musical instruments made from clay, that are music more than sound producers. They call up human organs’ structure and function: guts, liver, larynx, lungs, and others. The instruments evoke and provoke a meeting place where the body of both the musical instrument and whoever activates it meet to establish relationships that classical musical traditions (obsessed with technical virtuosity) seem to have forgotten.
