Mika Ninagawa Exhibition: Eternity in a Moment

¥800 – ¥2,802

Immerse yourself in a colorful and imaginative world created by photographer and film director Mika Ninagawa. Entitled “Eternity in a Moment”, Ninagawa’s latest and largest exhibition explores the beauty found in everyday life through different mediums including photos, videos, and installations.

What happens?

This exhibition has 11 different artworks in total, all with their own dedicated space and theme.

The first few works, “Afterglow”, “Breathing of Lives”, and “Flashing Before Our Eyes”, explore the connections between people and the world, and how this has changed due to world events like the pandemic. Notably, all of these works are displayed in darkness.

It isn’t until “Intersecting Future”, that the displays start becoming brighter. The last works “Blooming Emotions”, “In the Twinkling Light”, “The Season of Butterflies” and “Embracing Lights” have been designed to showcase the hope for connections and the future.

Overall, the exhibition is a sensory experience, allowing visitors to pause and think deeply about different aspects of everyday life.

At the end of the exhibition, there is an exclusive pop-up shop where you can buy original goods and unique apparel inspired by the designs showcased in the exhibition. The café, located next to the shop, also has a limited-time collaboration menu, serving desserts inspired by Ninagawa’s famous flower motif.
