For his first U.S. solo show, Montana-born Aaron Flint Jamison emptied Artists Space of its usual accoutrements, leaving a single attendant standing about, and eliminated all press materials and catalogues, even removing the gallery’s desk (though there is a spreadsheet on Artists Space’s website detailing the show’s production costs, including two tickets to Man of Steel). The space is populated instead by a number of sculptures made from inscrutable pieces of machinery and computer hardware-think 3D scanners and server racks. Come for the enigmatic sense of conspiracy, stay to envy the cavernous space.
