Rashed Al Shashai (Born 1977) is active/lives in Saudi Arabia.  Rashed Al Shashai is known for Installation, painting.

Born in 1977 in Al Baha and raised in Mecca, Rashed Al Shashai is an active patron, artist and collector promoting the Contemporary Art movement in Saudi Arabia.  He holds a Master's degree in Visual Arts, is a Founding Member of the Saudi Arabia Fine Arts Society and the Art Education Society, and is the Founder and Director of the Tasami Center for Visual Arts. He has organized many exhibitions and forums, most recently the 2011 GCC Visual Art Forum.

As an artist, his installation works comment on media bias in the filtration of news stories to the masses, the superficiality and lack of spirituality some face as a result of the extraordinary wealth obtained through oil, and the human condition. He has participated in a number of collective exhibitions within Saudi Arabia, in Budapest, Sharjah, Dubai, and Sharm Al Shiekh and his work was awarded first prize at the 2011 Media Art Show in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.ayyamgallery.com
