Hannah Starkey grew up on the Cavehill Road in north Belfast and left Northern Ireland in 1990 to study photography, film and television at Edinburgh Napier University. Now living in east London, she is currently exhibiting Hannah Starkey: In Real Life at The Hepworth Wakefield in West Yorkshire.
Throughout her career, Hannah’s photographs have engaged with how women are represented in contemporary culture.
