This award winning Argentine artist is best known as a sculptor, and started to win prizes soon after completing his studies in 2004.

Adrian Villar Rojas has become noted as a sculptor who likes to sculpt relatively large objects. Whilst completing his university studies he concentrated on examining the impact of coincidence and concurrence on different events and subsequently various objects, which he then proceeded to sculpt.

Adrian Villar Roja's sculptures made at university drew enough attention to his ability that galleries in Buenos Aires were prepared to exhibit his work just after he graduated. Currently his most famous works are Incendio, Un Mar, and the epic Mi familia muerta. The latter is a life size sculpture of a whale.

What is site specific art?

Artwork that's created to exist in a given/certain place. Location is taken into account by the artist as he plans and creates his artwork. Robert Irwin reined and promoted it in California. Site Specific Art came after modernist objects as artist's reaction to the world's situation. Modernists objects were nomadic, transportable, only existed in museum space and were for commodification and market.
