Lamia is a Senior Insights Manager for the Mobile Money Programme. In her role, she leverages qualitative and quantitative data to drive strategic thought leadership and derive actionable recommendations relevant to the mobile money business model. Her areas of work include interoperability, merchant payments and person-to-government payments in Asia and Africa.

Prior to joining the GSMA, Lamia held positions at Mastercard Foundation and Global Affairs Canada.

Lamia holds an undergraduate and master’s degree in public policy, with a focus on development evaluation and economics, both from Carleton University.
