Bernard Meadows was born in Norwich and studied at the Royal College of Art.
He was one of the 'Geometry of Fear' artists who represented the UK at the Venice Biennale in 1952. He featured again at the Venice Biennale in 1964.
One-man exhibitions were held at Gimpel Fils Gallery.
A book by Alan Bowness and published by Lund Humphries included a catalogue raisonne.
The Tate Gallery and Museum of Modern Art [New York] collections include his sculptures. 
I admire most of his sculptures but particularly like the reliefs
