Now in its 60th edition—and still the biggest event in contemporary art—this year’s Venice Biennale returns on April 20 and will feature 332 artists and groups from across the world, including 90 national pavilions and more than 30 collateral events.

In Venice (Arsenale and Giardini), from 20 April to 24 November 2024 (pre-opening 17, 18, 19 April), the Biennale Arte 2024, 60th International Art Exhibition will take place.

The media artist will reflect on themes like dwelling, the everyday, and war in an exhibition curated by Abby Chen and presented by the Taipei Fine Arts Museum.

Refocusing on the Medium: The Rise of East Asia Video Art is the first exhibition presented by Beijing Minsheng Art Museum to assemble key protagonist that initiated experiments with the medium of video originating from Japan, Korea, China, Taipei and Hong Kong.

Featured works will show online, at exhibitions in Hong Kong, Seoul, and Chiang Mai, and at a drive-in cinema in Manila.
