PIPA 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2016 nominee.

Rodrigo Matheus articulates different media in works that discuss the nature of representation in art and its connection with Industrial Design. Using objects and materials pertaining to the corporative world, the artist also appropriates corporative strategies when he creates fictitious companies that sign his projects/works. Other works explore the representations of nature from the standpoint of the simulacrum and artificiality.

He has a BA in Fine Arts from Universidade de São Paulo and a MA in Fine Arts from Royal College of Arts, London.

Amongst his recent exhibitions in 2015, are the solo shows “Atração”, Galeria Fortes Vilaça, São Paulo, Brazil, “One – Entre – in the Middle”, Ibid Projects, London, UK; participation in Biennials such as Lyon, France and Mercosul, Porto Alegre, Brazil and in group exhibitions in Brazil, USA, France and UK.
