Nino Cais is graduated in Fine Arts from Santa Marcelina College (Faculdade Santa Marcelina – FASM), where in 2001 he presented the individual exhibition: “The Redone Plot” (“A Trama Refeita”). In 2005, he participated in the group show of São Paulo Cultural Center (CCSP) Exhibition Program and won the Acquisition Prize on the 17th Praia Grande’s Contemporary Art Hall. In 2006, Nino presented a solo exhibition in the Virgílio Gallery and also participated in the SP-Arte ( São Paulo International Fair), held at the Biennial Pavilion in São Paulo. In 2007, he took part in the PINTA Art Show – The Modern & Contemporary Latin American Art Exhibition, in the Metropolitan Pavilion in New York. In the following year he won the Acquisition Prize in the 33th Ribeirão Preto Art Hall. Nino also received the Destaque Prize, given by Iberê Camargo Foundation. He participated in the “Trilhas do Desejo” exhibition, which presents the selected works from Rumos Itaú Cultural 2008-2009, in the institute’s headquarters in São Paulo. In the same year he was awarded by the 15th Bahia Hall. In 2011, Nino Cais participated in the “Octopus Garden” group exhibition, held in the Central Gallery of Contemporary Art, and in 2012 was one of the artists whose work was selected to participate in the 30th São Paulo Biennial. Currently, he works and lives in São Paulo, Brazil.
