The acclaimed English photographer Alison Jackon will be in Dubai on Saturday sharing the message behind her spoof photography. The artist known for her lookalike photographs of celebrities usually produces her work during key news events. She often depicts the British royal family in comedic situations and most recently, she depicted US president Donald Trump during his supposed first day in office enjoying a naked spray tan and throwing wads of money around the Oval Office.

Jackson will be speaking in Dubai at Bold Talks Innovation, a one-day event full of speakers from many different disciplines, united by alternative and innovative ways of thinking. The event is free of charge and takes place Saturday at Centrepoint Theatre, DUCTAC, Mall of the Emirates, from 10am — 4pm.

Also on the bill is the story of India's first Michelin-star chef by Vineet Bhatia, a geneticist recorded in the Guinness Book of Records for the fastest genetic diagnosis, and a live musical performance by a Dubai-based Lebanese instrumental band.

Tamer Nahas, the founder of Bold Talks said: “a key feature of our BOLDtalks Innovation events is the fact that we consistently, from year to year, feature talks that are quite alternative and non-mainstream, but in that itself the nature of topics brings out the innovative way of thinking that challenge all our attendees with such mindsets”.
