You're probably more familiar with California-based Jeremy Blake's dreamy, lush, seductive, color-saturated digital paintings, video and prints than you realize.
In addition to working as a graphic artist at Rockstar Games, Blake created those gorgeous, melty hallucination sequences in Punch Drunk Love; he also designed the album cover for Beck's 2002 album Sea Change. His high-profile suicide this summer rocked the blogosphere, and left many saddened by the rising art star's tragic end.
A collection of the incredibly talented multimedia artist's work can be seen at his gallery, Kinz, Tillou + Feigen in Chelsea, which is running a tribute to the late artist run through Jan 5, 2008.
